DESIGN OF HOMES AT THE HIGHLANDS

Dwellings at The Highlands will be designed and built to be environmentally sensitive using
some green building techniques and Low Impact Development methods. Sizes will vary from under 1,000 square feet to approximately 2,500. All homes will be extremely well planned, with more than adequate storage and carefully selected finishes. Some homes may have views of Puget Sound. Others will overlook the local territory of commons, forest and farmland.

A cohesive look, responsible development and compatible material choices are key to the success of The Highlands neighborhood. Buildings will primarily be designed by Ross Chapin Architects following patterns that shaped such highly popular neighborhoods as:

• Umatilla Hill, Port Townsend, WA (Built by Kimball & Landis)
• Spring Valley Cottages, Port Townsend, WA (Built by Kimball & Landis)
• Merchant Street Cottages, New Buffalo, MN (Built by Gough)
• Other representative neighborhoods

Designs by other architects may be allowed after consideration by The Highlands design review board for potential fit with the overall community.
